The Government of Grenada will on Wednesday, 25 February 2015, hold a National Consultation on the draft Electricity Supply Bill. The consultation will be held at the Grenada Trade Centre from 8:30 am.
The Consultation will include a presentation on the draft Electricity Supply Bill to replace the 1994 Electricity Supply Act, and the amendment of the Public Utilities Commission to establish the Public Utilities Regulatory Commission and to provide for the Eastern Caribbean Energy Regulatory Authority (ECERA).
All Grenadians are invited to participate in this process, as the issue of electricity affects everyone — households, hotels, businesses, Government. Indeed, it is a development issue that has implications for the growth and development of the Grenadian economy and the creation of much-needed jobs.
The draft bill will soon be circulated.
