Grenada was represented in an international Digital Art Project to mark Holocaust Memorial Day which was observed on 27 January 2014.
Suelin Low Chew Tung’s mixed media piece “Long is the Journey” was included in the project titled Mirror, Mirror On The Wall — the brainchild of England based photographer and artist Zsuzsanna Ardó, founder of Creatives Without Borders.
Ardó’s collection of Transylvanian Roma photos, was used to inspire new paintings by artists from France, Croatia, Argentina, Germany, the UK and the USA. Ardó said, “The idea… was to engage intensely with some memorable moments of ordinary life that invite the viewer to relate to and go on the reinterpretative journey, discovering in the process similarities and differences between genres, cultures and artist.” An article on the project appeared in the 30 January edition of the UK’s Hampstead and Highgate Express.
In 2013 Suelin’s work represented Grenada at the Biennal d’Art de Corbera d’Ebre, held in Tarragona, Spain and at the Inter-Art Foundation, Aiud Romania Exhibition at UN Headquarters in New York. She also participated in the 2013 edition of the Promart Haiti international art camp in Petion Ville, Haiti.
