For the first time in the history of the competition, Grenada will be the host of the Angostura White Oak Regional Domino Competition Finals on Saturday, 21Â September 2013. An event carded to be brimming with excitement, will see players from five countries including home country Grenada, namely: St Vincent, St Kitts, Dominica and St Maarten.
The competition will take place at Nedd’s Sport Bar in Tempe, St George, with a start time of 3 pm. 10 players, 2 from each country, who were winners of their local competition, will compete for an attractive grand prize of EC$10,000.
From Grenada, Claude Grenade and Francis Hooper will set out to bring the domino title home, from defending champion of 2012 — Dominica. Mr Grenade has over 25 years of experience in professional domino and is the bearer of over 5 local domino titles. His teammate Mr Francis Hooper also a renowned domino player, has adjudicated at the local level of the competition and will be a first time participant in the regional finals.
All are invited to come out and support the local players, and represent for Grenada.
